Time Flies

Time flies when you are having fun or so they say.  Monday was a work day of cleaning and getting the laundry done. By the time the chores were finished I was almost brain dead lol. I knew I should work on the blog but was just too tired. Also didn't think you wanted to hear the exciting news that the washers and dryers are free to use. I have a combination washer-dryer but free is so much better and faster. That took up most of the day. I did manage to get a couple of pictures. Here is Phil with his morning coffee...

This is the area that he was walking towards so that he could get a better view of what I was taking the picture of....

Tuesday morning I put the girls in the basket of the electric bike and took them with me to tour the park.  They absolutely love to go riding. I went down the group camp road to view the butterflies on the butterfly bush. Sitting there I noticed a change in the light around me... seemed to intensify and brightened for no reason. I could feel a change in the air. This is my signal that an angel is near. The birds started singing and were everywhere. Butterflies started appearing as if from thin air. Luckily I had my digital tape recorder so I  held it up to record the birds. Upon play back I was in awe that once again I heard my angel's voice whispering to me.  Her message was, "Fatima involvement".  My angel's name is Fatima and she was the reason for the birds singing, the lifting of the vibration of light.... so that message was to let me know that she was involved in it all. I was admiring the beauty of it all when she spoke to me on the recorder. I have heard that Fatima is the angel of revelations.

To end the perfect day I spotted the eagle's nest behind site no. 8. As I watched the juvinile in the nest one of the adults landed on a side limb. I went back to camp and got Phil so that he could watch the eagles also. He really enjoyed that.

Phil is working on his new boat motor while waiting for a part to come in for it. He is stripping off the old paint and is repainting it a silver grey to match the boat. As for myself, I am getting ready to go take pictures and talk with angels those seen and those not seen. Here is a photo of the area where the otters play...
Well, lots to do and places to see so I will close this and gitter dun (as Phil would say).

EASTER SUNDAY

EASTER  SUNDAY

Another beautiful day here in the park. Was surprised at how many people were leaving.  By noon most all of the families with children were gone. Our best neighbors are still here. We spent most of the day chatting with them.

To start the day I rode the bike to the public section of the park where the boat ramp is located. There is a loop that is really quiet and peaceful there. I have an area that is nice where I sit and talk to the angels...

The view across the road is fantastic. From here I see the sun rising...

They have several sitting areas in the park but I am drawn to quietness of the one above.  Here is a photo of one of the sitting areas...

After leaving this area I started picking up trash that had been tossed along the road. I began to realize that when a person becomes a senior citizen they begin to realize that they have to take care of this world. It's the only one we have. Phil and I always try to leave a place cleaner then when we arrived.

There was a huge flock of American Great White Pelicans swimming in the lake this afternoon. I was amazed at the size of them.  Huge birds! I took several pictures of them but only one really shows them and it isn't that good. Problem was there was this boat going through and causing the bird to leave. But still I got a picture of them so I was happy...

The land across the lake in the above picture is Texas.  Phil is going to take the truck over there and get it inspected this week. Also, about the above picture, just the other side of the white birds there are the juvenile young ones. There must have been a hundred or more pelicans.  I am still in awe of the sight.

Phil cooked the Sunday meal.  He put a big juicy sirloin on the pit.  That was the perfect ending to a wonderful day. Sitting around the campfire and enjoying the meal.

Peace

Saturday @ North Toledo Bend

Today the park is full.  People are everywhere.  I know the Angels are watching out for us because the section we are in is quiet compared to the rest of the park. Children playing is a beautiful noise but the fighting, screaming, and crying is not, lol.

Today was a beautiful day to be outside.  I even bathed the girls outside.  They loved it.
 SuChi

 SuYang

That is our girls.  SuYang was born Oct 17th at 11:30 pm and SuChi was born Oct 18th at 12: 20 am.  They are sisters but as different as night and day. SuYang is a gentle, loving, laid back little girl. SuChi is the Diva.  They are our furry kids. Their mother was a toy Shih Tzu and the father was an Imperial Shih Tzu. So both are small size. Didn't realize how small they are until I saw the neighbor's standard Shih Tzu.  Our girls are half the size. They love going riding around the park in the basket on the bike.

Yesterday I went to the group cabin area and on the way back found a beautiful shrub in white blooms. Not sure what it is....

Phil spent most of the afternoon at the other side of the park. He put everything (rods, tackle box, and bait) on his bike....

This was the last I saw of him until after dark.

Didn't catch anything.  At the pier there was a father and son. The father was teaching the young boy to fish with no luck until Phil gave the man the proper child size bobber. Then the boy was catching fish and having a blast.  Phil also reported back that the river otters hang around the fishing pier. He got to see them up close.  They are funny little animals.

Just wish to say one last thing.... From Phil and I .... we wish you a .....

GOOD FRIDAY

Today was Good Friday in more ways then one.  The elderly couple across the way came over and visited with us.  They are a delight. The old man had let a teenager borrow his boat and the kid broke his trolling motor so Phil engineered a piece to replace what was broken.  I was proud of him. The guys in the park seem drawn to Phil, which is a good thing. It was suggested that he become a park host and I sorta hope he does. He got the forms he needs to become one in Louisiana. I am going to hit the Park Manager and the Host up to sponsor us.

I started another eagle painting today. When I finish it I will take a picture and post it.  I had just finished an eagle painting a couple of weeks ago. It is a gift to the Host of Spavinaw State Park of Oklahoma. I was going to do a painting of the park for them but she asked if I could put an eagle in it.  Here is the result...

I have redrawn the painting so that I can correct my mistakes and redo it.  They will get the painting shown and the corrected version will go into my portfolio. I hope to get into a gallery again.

The park has been buzzing all day.  People everywhere. A couple of young boys raced their bikes against me down a hill. They were ahead until we got to the bottom and they really had to pedal hard.  They were cute.  Then there was a  girl that I would guess no older then three that was trying to ride a tiny bike with training wheels. She watched me coming towards her until I was beside her. She jumped off her bike and ran crying to her mother. I stopped because I had not meant to frighten her. Turns out that was not the case at all... she didn't want her bike she wanted mine. lol.  Phil's bike gets lots of attention where ever we go. It is great for meeting people.

Here is a picture of the campsite....

As you can see the trees are tall. There are loplolly and long leaf pines, dogwood, sycamores, black walnut, pawpaw, oaks, and cypress trees. There are a few that I don't know the name of also. At this time of year the park is very pretty. Noticed this afternoon that some of the dogwoods are still in bloom... nice.

Well, the day is almost over so I will close this and think about sleep. It has been a long but wonderful day.. Goodnight to everyone...

WELCOME

This is a tale of my life on the road dancing with angels to the tune of life... angels seen and those not seen. I believe in spiritual angels and physical angels.  On earth angels come in all walks of life. We are all spiritual Beings having a human experience.

This blog is about the roads we travel, the sights we see, and the people we meet.  I use the term we in reference to my husband, my girls, and myself. My husband is "Phil", my girls are SuYang and SuChi (my two shih tzus dogs), and I am Mickie.

On March 12th of this year Phil and I celebrated our 50th anniversary by  becoming full time RV snowbirds. We sold our farm and changed our lifestyle.  Living near Austin, Texas we hated the Texas heat and the economy was slowly taking away what little pleasures we had in life. So the decision was an easy one to make. We decided to enjoy life while we still had it.  Last summer we did a test run and loved it.  We visited Arkansas, lower Missouri, and came back to Texas through Oklahoma.

At this time we are staying at the North Toledo Bend State Park in Louisiana.  From here we are headed to LaPlace, Louisiana to visit Phil's brother for a few days. With the Easter Holidays nearly upon us we are experienced enough to know that if you have a campsite for the holidays don't leave it. There may not be one where you are headed.

My next post will have information and some pictures of the park. There is an eagle's nest not far from us. The adults do a flyby over our trailer daily.

Well,  off I go with camera in hand to check out the park grounds for the day's scenic wonders and delights.  I use Phil's three wheel electric bike to sneak up on the animals. Such as Monsieur Rat...
